The Most Significant Issue With Best Double Buggy, And How You Can Fix It

The Best Double Buggy Strollers

A double buggy is ideal if you are expecting twins or have two children of different age groups. The best double buggy is simple to maneuver and is able to take on rough surfaces.

These vehicles also come with features like large sun canopies, as well as transparent hoods, and adjustable seats.

1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double

The City Tour 2 Double is the smallest double stroller within the Baby Jogger range. It's designed for travel, and can fit through standard doorways easily with its ultra-narrow shape. It's also one the lightest double buggies available that weighs just 14lbs when folded. It's perfect for traveling with a toddler and a newborn as you won’t exceed airline luggage allowances. It can also be folded up to the size of the size of a small travel bag which means you can put it in the back seat of your car.

The one-handed Z-shape fold is easy to fold and is extremely compact once you master it and takes seconds to unfold. However, our tester discovered the auto lock to be a bit confusing and as the handlebar isn't locked into place when you press it, it struck her legs when she used it. She also felt the handlebar was a bit on the short side, especially with a big changing bag hanging off it.

Unlike other lightweight travel buggies that aren't loaded with features and is among the most full-featured  double strollers  available. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately) It also offers multiple recline positions, and an UV 50+ canopy. You can also add a bassinet to one or both seats and transform it into a travel system.

The four rubber composite wheels are ideal for pavements as well as urban terrain however, they're not designed for off-roading. They slid on long grass and gravel and there's not much clearance between the bracket and the wheel, which means that mud could get stuck easily. Our testers loved this buggy, and it was able to climb some beautiful dirt hills.

The seats have a moulded feel and are extremely comfortable. They're also adjustable so they can be positioned to suit siblings' needs. iCandy is the first to introduce a 'cinema seating' design that allows parents to keep eye contact between both children. They can be adjusted to face either the parent or the world.

It's a heavier tandem buggy however it's extremely easy to use and steer, especially on smooth roads. It's stable in single and double mode, and even on sloped terrain. It's not as simple to drive on public transport, however, because it requires more than one hand on the handlebar. It's also heavy and can't be stuffed into the standard car boot with the seat attached, but this can be overcome by careful planning. iCandy has included the footmuff, changing bag and car seat adapters in the price so this is an excellent value bundle for new parents.

This is a tandem stroller which is extremely light. It has two non-reversible seats that are suitable for children aged from birth to around 3 years old, and it can accommodate a car seat in the rear.

This buggy is also suitable for families who plan to travel as it can fit a car seat in the back. It features a secure one-click fold and is compatible with a wide range of Joie infant car seats. It has a large basket and comfortable seats for the kids. The only issue is that the front seat doesn't recline fully, which could be a problem for babies. 5. Nipper Double V5

The Nipper Double V5 from Out 'n' About is a new version of the award-winning all-terrain buggy. It is designed for twins or siblings, and comes with independent reclining chairs, compatibility with carrycots, and an ultra-light frame to allow for easy maneuverability on bumpy terrain.

The adjustable handle's height and rear wheel suspension offer the most comfortable ride for children up to 22kg. The sturdy pneumatic tyres that are easy to clean, also provide a smooth ride when jogging. The 360 swivel front wheel can be locked in place to make it easier to maneuver around the city, and the single pedal easy-lock brake is simple to use.

Our testers noted that the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to maneuver, even walking on uneven ground or when turning quickly in an area with a lot of traffic. The possibility that the seats could be reclined independently was also a big hit.

The hoods were also simple to adjust for wind or sun protection. They didn't provide as much coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It might be worth carrying an additional rain cover in the case.

Overall, our test participants were impressed by the Nipper double's ability allow them to take their twin daughters Sydney and Lyla to all sorts of adventures. From seeing wildlife in the forest to rushing to the park for a playdate, they loved it. The testers were also awed by how spacious and comfortable the two seats are. There's plenty of room for toddlers who are growing. The lack of parent-facing seating and the inability to use a car seats in this buggy were cited as a drawback by our testers. They would also have liked to see a larger storage area for shopping and other gear.
